Zuko is more interesting than Aang.

Iron Man is more interesting than Captain America.

Han Solo is more interesting than Luke Skywalker.

Captain Jack Sparrow is more interesting than Will Turner.

A lot of you out there think you're shit because you're flooded with flaws.

What you are is interesting.

These stories are more captivating, more compelling than the ones where the protagonist already has heroic qualities.

The interesting characters aren't just in a battle against their external enemies - they're in a battle for their soul.

These are anti-heroes.

The term is often mistaken to be synonymous with “villain."

But that's not what an anti-hero is.

An anti-hero is a protagonist who is deeply, pervasively flawed.

Anti-heroes tend to transform more dramatically throughout their story than regular heroes.

They also tend to have a bigger impact on the story.

Their stories are the ones that garner thousands of commentary videos on YouTube analyzing every part of their journey.

They're the ones that fans obsess over.

They're the ones we turn to during our own turmoil.

The anti-hero is often what keeps readers and viewers hooked moreso than the actual hero.

If you hate where you are in your life right now, if you feel despondent, if you feel hopeless - you might be an anti-hero.

And what you are is interesting.

You have a story with more compelling promise than the guy who's got all his ducks in a row.

We're going to write your story... together.

We're going to re-frame your entire life.
